The BMW Mini is ten years old and to mark the occasion in Barbados McEnearney Quality Inc.(MQI), the local Importer for BMW has partnered with the Miss Barbados World Beauty Pageant to be the official car of the prestigious contest which will take place on Sunday August 28 at the Hilton Barbados.
Among the first outings for the girls and the all new BMW Mini Cooper and Countryman was the pre-judging sessions; the first held at the plush Limegrove, Holetown.
The seven beauties are vying for the coveted Miss World Barbados crown and the opportunity to represent Barbados at the gala affair later this year.
In the summer of 2001 the very first BMW built Mini rolled off of the production line in Oxford, 10 years later Mini is celebrating a decade of motoring by taking its owners on a virtual trip into space.
Mini is inviting its owners and enthusiasts to log the details of their car into a virtual space world called Mini Lunatics(www.mini.co.uk/lunatics) for their chance to win.
